Fruit from the Pit — What a Fractured Season Teaches Us

“Fractured, but favored.” That’s a phrase I’ve been carrying. When Joseph was thrown into a pit, his destiny didn’t end — it changed shape. God used the pit to prepare him for a place of great influence and blessing.
Fractures often come from betrayal, family pain, or unmet expectations. They leave scars — real ones. But Scripture shows us that God’s favor can rest on the fractured. The key isn’t to ignore the wound; it’s to allow God to heal and use it.
Three ways to steward a fracture:
Be honest about pain (therapy + theology is a good combination).
Keep faithfulness in the small places — the requirement doesn’t change.
Use your favor to bless others, even those who once hurt you.
Joseph’s story also warns us of bitterness. The enemy wants us jaded. Choose grace instead. When God brings restoration, will you let the blessing flow to others?
Prayer: “Lord, help me not to let fractures harden me. Use the broken pieces to show Your glory.”
If you’d like a short devotional for someone walking through a fracture, reply “PIT” and I’ll send a printable.
